We are less than one month away from the first driving event of the year and wanted to share some of the details of what’s new and different about this season!
HPDE Run Group Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
At every driving weekend, we are now going to have an HPDE group that is capped at 25 cars, for experienced and signed-off for solo driving participants! See our HPDE page for more details but long story short, here is what is available and links to register.
If you are a licensed racer but your car isn’t ready, bring your track car! We know a bunch of you have one. Most of us know a track junkie or two – invite them and let’s grow the people who want to experience the rush of a race track but don’t want to go all in on a race car!

Low-cost Endurance Racers and Teams, welcome!
Have you gotten into the budget endurance racing world but looking for more track time for you and your team or want to focus going faster, by competing with sprint racers? We made a couple big changes that makes it easier than ever for you to drive with IRDC and ICSCC.
1. Clarified licensing requirements
Bottom line is that if you don’t have an ICSCC, SCCA, NASA or FIA (or similar) racing license but you have documented racing experience, you can still qualify for an ICSCC competition license, without going through the same requirements as someone who has no experience. Please contact the ICSCC License Director – Steve Clinton.
Make sure to include your documented racing history, training history and the specific driving event in which you want to participate.
2. Endurance racing cars can now qualify for production car classes more easily
For the 2019 season, two rule changes passed that make it easier for lower cost endurance racing cars, to qualify and be competitive in ICSCC production based classes. Production based class definitions are found here and generally conform to the SCCA definition of Production Classes (GT1-GTL, SPU, SPM, SPO and E, F, G, H Improved Production). Below are the specific rule changes:
- Tires: Cars racing on tires with treadwear rating of 180 and higher will be allowed to move down one (1) class while maintaining its previous race weight.
- Lexan windows: Lexan or equivalent may be substituted in place of glass except for the front windshield.
